3 traffickers arrested, drug den shut by PDEA 12 agents

COTABATO CITY (October 13, 2026) — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested three shabu traffickers operating a clandestine drug den in an anti-narcotics operation on Friday, October 9, in Isulan town in Sultan Kudarat province.

Under state law, operating a drug den is a non-bailable criminal offense.

Charlene Magdurulang, director of the PDEA 12, told reporters on Monday that the three men are now in their custody, to be prosecuted for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PDEA 12 agents, backed by operatives from different units of the Police Regional Office 12 and personnel of the Isulan Municipal Police Station, immediately arrested the three suspects after they had procured from them shabu right in their drug den in Purok 1 in Galinato Village in Barangay Dansuli in Isulan, the capital town of Sultan Kudarat province.

Magdurulang said their agents had confiscated from the suspects P69,700 worth of shabu, drug sniffing paraphernalia and a mobile phone bearing the numbers of their accomplices in Isulan and in towns around.

Their drug den was immediately closed down by PDEA 12 agents and policemen, now guarded members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team in Dansuli.

Magdurulang said PDEA 12 is grateful to the community leaders and municipal officials in Isulan who supported the operation that resulted in the arrest of the three suspects and confiscation from them of P69,700 worth of shabu, to be used as evidence in prosecuting them in court.
